Police Obtain Arrest Warrant For Suspect In North Versailles Walmart Shooting

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Police are looking for the suspect in a shooting at the Walmart in North Versailles.

According to a press release, the suspect, 22-year-old Rojanai Alston of Penn Hills, was in an altercation with two other females on Friday night in Walmart. The altercation resulted in Alston shooting one of the females multiple times.

The victim was treated at the scene by EMS before taken to a local hospital. She was reported in critical condition. 

There were workers and customers in the store at the time of the shooting, but no other injuries were reported.

The shooter has been identified as 22-year-old Rojanai Alston of Penn Hills.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Alston.  She is being charged with criminal attempt homicide and aggravated assault. 

Rojanai Alston is described as a black female, 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a medium build.

Police ask that anyone knowing the whereabouts of Rojanai Alston or information regarding the incident should call the Allegheny County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
