
ROBINSON TOWNSHIP (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - On Friday evening, a 25-year old man, Jaquay Murray, was arrested on charges of homicide for his involvement in the shooting of a 48-year-old man.
The incident occurred at the Pittsburgh Motel on Steubenville Pike.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives from the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit investigated the scene and gathered that the victim had gone to the motel to meet-up with someone.
After being invited into a room, the victim was shot shortly after Murray exited a bathroom.
The victim attempted to flee the room before being gunned down by Murray.
Then Murray left the scene.
He was detained quickly after when incoming officers encountered him a short distance from the motel.
Based on their investigation, detectives determined that Murray was responsible for the shooting.
Murray is being held in Allegheny County Jail as he awaits his arraignment for Criminal Homicide and some firearm violations.
