PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Former Steelers Running Back and Vietnam War combat veteran, Rocky Bleier, will share some of his stories of service on Monday night at the Heinz History Center.
It will be in celebration of the latest edition and release of his well-known book, “Fighting Back.”
In Vietnam, Bleier was injured while under fire; doctors said he would never play football.
“Fighting Back” highlights how he went against the odds to rehab his way back on to the football field.
“I think part of it is your own mental attitude, what you’re thinking, and the lessons you learn within your life,” Bleier tells KDKA Radio.
Doors will open at 5 p.m. tonight.
