Six Test Positive For Coronavirus At Arnold Food Processing Plant

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Six employees at the Smithfield Foods plant in Arnold, Westmoreland County have tested positive for COVID-19.

United Foods and Commercial Workers Local 1776 tells the Tribune-Review the workers have not worked in several days.

Safety measures are in effect and the plant is being cleaned throughout the day and overnight.

Smithfield recently shut down a pork processing plan in South Dakota after hundreds of employees there tested positive for coronavirus.
