(Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Teens over the age of 14 in one Virginia city could face a fine if they dare go trick or treating this Halloween.
The law in Chesapeake, Virginia says that if you go out for candy on Halloween you could be asked to pay up.
And if you think that's bad, city council amend the bill earlier the year.
The old law was anyone over the age of 12 could face a fine and could possibly face jail time!
The city of Chesapeake says on their website, no one was ever jailed as a result of the old ordinance and that any older teen taking a younger sibling out won't have any issues.
They add that the ordinance is more in place to give the police "the ability to keep order" if teens are being disruptive or vandalizing property.
Older teens not causing any issues should be just fine.
