PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Wind chills will make Thursday’s temperatures feel close to 30 below zero but warmer weather is on the way, we just have to deal with a little snow first.
AccuWeather’s Elliot Abrams tells KDKA Radio after the snow a big turnaround in temperatures is coming.
“Tomorrow we do expect some snow; it may accumulate a couple inches. This will be during the course of the day but the high 24 (on Friday) and then Saturday going to 40, 49 on Sunday, 55 on Monday, it will feel like springtime,” said Abrams.
We just have to get past the last gasp of bitter cold this afternoon.
“Today the air still coming from the Arctic tundra where venturing out without proper protection, you can get frostbite in this in less than 5 minutes but we’re at the bottom of it now and it slowly recovers,” said Abrams.
The snow is expected to start falling overnight.
