WASHINGTON (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) — The U.S. Census Bureau is ramping up hiring ahead of the April 2020 Census.
About 500 jobs are open right now in Allegheny County for address canvassing, according to the Post-Gazette.
That number could double next year as employees will be needed to visit residences that haven't given a timely response.
Pay rates in Allegheny County will be about $18.50 an hour. To be eligible, applicants must be at least 18, be a s U-S citizen and pass a background check.
