PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) — Warming centers are open around the Pittsburgh area for those still without power following the wind storm that started Sunday.
Most Citiparks recreation centers and Healthy Active Living Centers are open in the city until this evening.
Citiparks rec center hours of operation are as follows: Brookline and Phillips are open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Ammon, Jefferson, Ormsby, Paulson and Warrington are open from Noon to 8 p.m.; Magee is open Noon to 9 p.m.; and West Penn: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

There is an additional warming shelter that can be used overnight at the Allegheny Center Alliance Church in the North Side at East Ohio and East Commons Streets.
Warming centers open in Allegheny County:
- Munhall: Second floor of the Munhall Borough Building at Mapledale and Vivian
- West Homestead: West Homestead Fire Department Station 292 at 447 W. 8th Ave.
- East McKeesport: United Volunteer Fire/Rescue Station 135 at 600 Broadway Ave.
- Monroeville: Monroeville Senior Citizen Center at 6000 Gateway Campus Blvd.
- North Versailles: North Versailles Township Office at 1401 Greensburg Ave. The West Wilmerding Fire Hall at 330 Kline Avenue is accepting pets that can be tethered or caged.
- Penn Hills: Penn Hills Station 227 at 125 Universal Rd. and Penn Hills Station #2 Rosedale at 5806 Verona Rd.
- Collier: Collier Township Community Center at 5 Lobaugh St.
Power crews are working to restore power. At the peak, more than 250,000 customers were without power across the 7-county area.
Duquesne Light estimates full restoration by Wednesday night; FirstEnergy says all customers can expect the lights on by Saturday night.
