PITTSBURGH (News Radio 1020 KDKA) – From noon until midnight Sunday, a Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect for Garrett, Mercer, Venango, Forest, Clarion, Jefferson, and Indiana Counties, as well as the Westmoreland Ridges, Fayette Ridges, and Eastern Tucker.
This includes Mountain Lake Park, Oakland MD, Grantsville, Sharon, Hermitage, Grove City, Oil City, Franklin, Tionesta, Clarion, Punxsutawney, Brookville, Indiana, Ligonier, Donegal, Champion, Ohiopyle, Davis, Thomas, and Canaan Valley.
Mixed precipitation is expected in these areas with a light glaze to a tenth of an inch of ice accumulation is possible. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches along and north of Interstate 80 are expected, as well.
Please use caution as the roads may become slippery and visibility may be limited due to periods of snow, sleet, or freezing rain.
