Shelby Cassesse is an Emmy-nominated reporter and host with News Radio KDKA and 93.7 The Fan. She also appears on KDKA-TV’s Nightly Sports Call and does freelance work for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Originally from Butler, PA, Shelby also lived in Crystal Lake, IL for many years with her family. As soon as she got the chance, she moved back to Pittsburgh to attend Duquesne University.

While at Duquesne, Shelby interned for the Pittsburgh Penguins, FOX and 93.7 The Fan. She was the first Duquesne student to be nominated for a Collegiate Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award.

Following graduation, Shelby worked for WDTV in Bridgeport, WV where she spent two years as a sports reporter covering the WVU Mountaineers and dozens of local schools. This market taught her the value of local storytelling and shining a light on the good people in each community.

Shelby returned to Pittsburgh in 2017, taking her first shot at news as a part-time reporter, traffic anchor and sports anchor with News Radio KDKA and 93.7 The Fan.

Her work in news led her to KDKA-TV in 2019. She was eventually part of a group nominated for another Emmy Award for team coverage of the social justice protests in Pittsburgh in 2020.

In 2021, Audacy Pittsburgh called her back for a third time. She has been with the company ever since, growing her career in both news and sports. She is the second woman in 93.7 The Fan history to host a sports talk show.
