After More Than 40 Years An Iconic Fiori's Pizza Maker Retires

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A legendary pizza maker in Brookline has hung up his apron.
Giuseppe “Joe” Pepe, who has made pizza at Fiori’s for over 40 years retired on New Year’s Eve.
Pepe has been a stable at Fiori’s since it opened in 1979.
Fiori’s is owned by Fiori Moscatiello who came to America from Naples, Italy in 1972.
Fiori’s is a Brookline staple and considered one of the best pies in all of Pittsburgh.
Melinda who worked with Pepe tells KDKA Radio that Joe is a “hard worker, very energetic and everyone loved his accent.”
Pepe immigrated to America from a town in south Italy called Nusco.
