PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Transportation Security Administration says it's confiscating more prohibited items than ever at Pittsburgh International.
Some travelers forget about the folding knife in their carry-on while other try to sneak it through.
The most common prohibited items are knives says the TSA's Lisa Farbstein.
Butter, carving, and hunting knives are all prohibited.
Other items found include brass knuckles, throwing stars, a sword with a swastika and more.
If you accidentally have an item that the TSA stops you have a few options.
You can run it back to your car, mail it to yourself or donate it to the TSA.
If you have questions you can check out Ask TSA on Twitter, The TSA's homepage or the free app.
The TSA says prohibited items slow down checkpoint lines.
