Yinzer Cards Debuts New Chocolate Bar

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Yinz like chocolate? The guys behind the Pittsburgh-centric “Yinzer Cards” are back with a delicious addition.
The “Yinzer Bar”, a collection of milk chocolate bars are made by Canonsburg-based Sarris Candy.
KDKA Radio’s own Larry Richert is part of the “Yinzer” team that includes longtime radio star and comedian Jim Krenn and award-winning cartoonist Rob Rogers.
The chocolate that will retail for $2.99 and will be available that Pittsburgh-area Giant Eagle locations, Market Districts, the Heinz History Center and Laurie’s Hallmark Shops beginning Thursday, October 9.
The designs on the chocolate bars will come in three choices:
The Pittsburgh skyline, being called the city of Champions and honoring the Immaculate Reception…sorry the Immaculate “confection”!
“There are a lot of ‘immaculates’ in this town but now we have The Immaculate Confection,” said Krenn, “We thought let’s do a sports-themed candy bar, feature our iconic skyline and celebrate our championess and I think we’ve achieved all three with this new collection of Yinzer Bars.”
While Yinzer Cards benefit Animal Friends, Yinzer Bars will Spenser’s Voice Fund, a non-profit organization that works to curb the drug epidemic in young adults.
In Addition, the trio have introduced three new "Halloween" themed greeting cards.
