PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) As of today, Monday May 31, Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf has lifted almost every COVID-19 mitigation orders.

The Wolf Administration announced that businesses, events, and venues may return to 100% capacity.

While the capacity limits have been lifted, the mask mandate is staying in effect until 70% of the state have been fully vaccinated.

The projected date for the lifting of the mask mandate sits at June 28.

Over a year after shutdowns and mandates were put in place in effort to stop the spread of the COVID virus, things seem to be inching back to normal in the state of Pennsylvania.

While the long awaited return to normalcy may be in sight, Gov. Wolf is continuing to urge those who haven’t yet, to get the COVID vaccine and remain safe.

“We have made great strides throughout the commonwealth to stop the spread of COVID-19,” said Gov. Wolf. “As we lift mitigation orders, it is important for eligible Pennsylvanians to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Getting vaccinated is our best defense against this virus and ensuring individuals and their loved ones remain safe as we reopen Pennsylvania.”
