A man was taken to the hospital Thursday afternoon after gunfire broke out in a neighborhood in Clairton.
According to police, just after 4:00 p.m. officers responded to a shooting in the 1100 block of Marion Circle. When they arrived they found one man who had been shot in the leg.
That man was taken to the hospital in stable condition according to officers.
Gunfire broke out between two men and the man that was shot.
A dog was struck by the gunfire and died, police confirmed.
Police said everyone involved in the shooting has been accounted for and they are working with the district attorney’s office for more information into this investigation.
