TSA continues to stop move firearms at Pittsburgh International Airport.
Transportation Security Administration officers caught a Georgia man with a 9mm handgun at the security checkpoint Friday.
That's the third gun detected at the airport last week.
The handgun loaded with six bullets was among the man's carry-on items.
On Tuesday TSA spotted a loaded gun and on Sunday nabbed a revolver.
A TSA Spokesperson says Pittsburgh International is about to set a new record for guns detected in a single year with three months to go in 2023.
35 guns were stopped in 2019 and as of October 1, 33 guns have been stopped at Pittsburgh International Airport.
Repeated news coverage and stiff federal fines of as much as $15,000 dollars aren't reaching enough people, so sheriffs in all 67 counties will send permit holders information about traveling with a firearm.
