On Saturday, a 63-year-old man as assaulted just after 8:30 p.m. in East Liberty.
It happened on the 6200 block of Kalida Drive.
The victim told police he was jumped by several juveniles. They severely beat the man, who suffered a serious injury to his nose. He was also covered in blood.
Police detained the primary suspect. After he was questioned by police he was released to his mother.
The investigation is ongoing with police reviewing video evidence.
