PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) – AAA reports that gas prices in western Pennsylvania are continuing to rise.
Prices are one cent higher this week at $3.251 per gallon.
Gas prices averaged $3.240 last week, and $2.354 during this week last year.
The price increase reflects the price of crude oil, which is at its highest price since October 2018, coming in at $71 per barrel.
This price is now $23 per barrel more expensive than it was this past January.
Motorists are seeing the impact at the gas pumps as they are paying 37% more, on average, to fill up their cars from the start of the year.
That national gas price is at $3,.08, which is up three cents from last week.
