AHN to host event for wide-scale distribution of J&J COVID vaccine

MONROEVILLE (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) — The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and Pennsylvania National Guard are planning on a large-scale COVID-19 vaccination clinic in conjunction with the Allegheny Health Network (AHN) and the Allegheny County Health Department.

The two-day event is scheduled for Friday, April 9 and Saturday, April 10.

The involved entities will administer around 13,000 of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccines during the event's span.

However, keep in mind that the vaccines will be distributed to those that fall under the prerequisites of Pennsylvania's 1A and 1B vaccine distribution plan.

The clinic's site has already been decided on, too: Next Tier Connect at Pittsburgh East.

According to AHN, and for those who don't know what or where Next Tier Connect is, it's an "office building and campus nearby AHN's Forbes Hospital in Monroeville."

Its address is 4350 Northern Pike.

Par for the course, preregistration is mandatory before receiving a vaccine, and the appointments can be set up either on the AHN website or via phone at 412-DOCTORS.

The clinic will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.

As a worn-out reminder, walk-in appointments will not be accepted.
