Professional wrestler and former IWC Champion Wardlow volunteered for the first time Thursday, as part of All Elite Wrestling's day packaging food at the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
It may be Wardlow's first, but he says it won't be his last.
"I'm blessed to be in a position to be able to give back to kids that grew up like me struggling," he said. "For me to be able to be in a position to help those kids that grew up like I did means the world to me."
AEW's stop at the Food Bank was part of a week-long schedule of events for the group in the Pittsburgh-area.
Food Bank president and CEO Lisa Scales said volunteers helped package 1,500 boxes of food to be distributed to local families in need.
"It's so important because athletes, they know how important it is that people have consistent access to nutritious food," she said. "They need food to fuel their wrestling efforts, and they know how important that is for all the families here in southwestern Pennsylvania."
Other AEW participants included World's Strongest Man Mark Henry, Dustin Rhodes, Ricky Starks, 'Jungle Boy' Jack Perry of Jurassic Express, Anna Jay and Pres10 Vance of the Dark Order.
AEW will be at the Peterson Events Center Friday.
