PITTSBURGH (Newsradio KDKA) - The U.S. Capital is preparing for the worst as the inauguration of Joe Biden inches closer.

Allegheny County is also taking precautions.

“As of right now and to date, no credible threats. That doesn’t mean we’re not prepared, we always prepare for the worst case scenario, but nothing credible at this point,” said John Sicilia, President of the Allegheny County Chiefs of Police Association

There are over 100 law enforcement agencies in Allegheny County and they are all working together.

“It’s constant communication, email, zoom meetings, you know - when it was appropriate - in-person meetings; there’s a constant open dialogue from the federal, state, and local levels,” Sicilia adds.
