Business owners, veterans and social clubs are asking state lawmakers to act soon on skill games.
That's because the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has ruled the machines will become illegal on October 13,
But a state senator says the legislature will not reach an agreement and the machines will “go dark.”
On the Big K Morning Show, State Senator Wayne Fontana said he wants to give veterans and social clubs an exemption.
“I would hope we would have a conversation in the fall about trying to do something to save them, in some way, let them continue to have games, if they want to,” said Senator Fontana.
The state's high court has ruled so-called skill games are in reality a game of chance just like the video game terminals in casinos.
If left unregulated, lawmakers will be leaving about $1 billion in tax revenue on the floor.
