There's been another gator sighting in Kiski Township this week, this time on land.
A man found a 5 to 6 foot long alligator on his front porch Thursday. The Tribune-Review reports the reptile crawled away from a nearby house where a man keeps gators as pets.
Humane officers retrieved the alligator from the porch and then removed nine more from a backyard pool down the street. The timing of the removal is important because temperatures will drop this weekend.
Pennsylvania is one of several states that currently allow for people to own a pet alligator and there is no state permit required to keep them as pets.
