Arrest made in early Sunday homicide in Carrick

Police have made an arrest after and early Sunday homicide in Carrick.

Police say 25-year-old Corey Rall turned himself in on Monday after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Police say Rall gunned down a 28-year-old man on a porch behind Sophie's Saloon in the 1900 block of Brownsville Road.

Police responded to the shooting around 1:30 a.m. Officers found Cole Kerns dead with gunshot wounds in the head and shoulder.

A witness says Kerns punched a man who responded by shooting Kerns two times before running away.

Rall faces criminal homicide charges and is currently in Allegheny County Jail.
