Arrest made in fatal Lawrenceville shooting that killed security guard

An arrest has been made in connection to the shooting death of Malcolm Nowlin, a security guard working at Dijlah restaurant and hookah, who was shot in the head on October 6 in Lawrenceville.

It happened in the 4100 block of Butler Street just before 4:30 a.m.

The Pittsburgh Police Violent Crime Unit arrested 24-year-old Eric Sudduth-Jones Monday in Wilkinsburg without incident and transported him to the Allegheny County Jail.

Sudduth-Jones has been charged with one count of criminal homicide.

The victim, Nowlin, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital October 8.
