An arrest warrant has been issued in a shooting on the South Side earlier this month.

Nicklas Gay II, 35, is facing multiple charges, including attempted homicide. He's accused of shooting a man on October 16th at South 14th and East Carson streets.

The shooting occurred at 2:05 a.m. outside Mike and Tony's, where Gay shot one man in the chest and another man in the hand.

The victim, shot in the chest, was in critical condition.
Witnesses described the shooter to police and using surveillance video they identified Gay as a suspect.

Later, the victim told police Gay was the gunman and he had gotten in an argument with him, which resulted in the shooting.

Police were able to identify Gay with help from a federal probation officer who supervised Gay for a time. Gay now is facing additional charges in aggravated assault and a firearms violation.
