BB Gun assault downtown sees man die a week later

Police continue to investigate an alleged BB gun assault downtown last week.

Local business owner Max found BB holes near his business on Coffey Way, and went back to look at his security camera.

He told the Big K Morning show he never expected to see what was on the tape, "This man, unconscious in the alley and four teenagers just taking turns with BB guns, shooting him point blank. Shooting him in the face, in the chest, going through his pockets, basically mugging an unconscious person," it's helped police in their investigation.

The man was initially taken to the hospital for a suspected overdose, but medical testing found metal shrapnel in his body.

He died just a few days later, and was identified as 50-year-old Christopher Gaylor.

"It's disgusting, they literally probably shot him no less than 40 times. They actually took the time to reload their BB guns," Max reiterated.

Police say they've identified the people who allegedly assaulted the man in the video, but no arrests have been made.
