Like many other businesses in Pennsylvania and across the country, the White Thorn Lodge in Darlington was forced to close amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Unlike many other businesses, the White Thorn Lodge is a "family nudist campground."
The lodge intends to open May 28 for the 2021 season.
In a Facebook post, the lodge wrote:
"At this time, WTL plans to be OPEN May 28 to visitors for the 2021 season based on current COVID-19 trends. Should circumstances with the pandemic change, this status will be re-evaluated.
"WTL encourages all visitors to get vaccinated or have a negative Covid-19 test prior to visiting WTL. All current guidelines set forth by the CDC, PA Department of Health, and other government agencies must be adhered to while on the grounds of WTL."
On their website, the lodge explains nudism from their perspective stating:
"The human body is not harmful to see or be seen.
Nudism is not a sexual activity
Nudism is not against Christianity
Nudism WILL help your body image
Nudism WILL help your confidence
Nudism is fun and it feels great!"
