Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band’s two-night stop in Pittsburgh has been postponed.
It was announced on Wednesday that Springsteen is being treated for symptoms related to peptic ulcer disease.
His doctors have advised him that he should postpone all of his shows in September.
That includes two dates in Pittsburgh on September 12 and 14 at PPG Paints Arena.
Springsteen released the following statement:
Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows. First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to pick this shows up and then some. Thank you for your understanding and support. We’ve been having a blast at our U.S. shows and we’re looking forward to more great times. We’ll be back soon. Love and God bless all, Bruce.
The Mayo Clinic says peptic ulcers, “are open sores that develop on the inside lining of your stomach and the upper portion of your small intestine. The most common symptom of a peptic ulcer is stomach pain.”
New dates have not been announced.
Springsteen will turn 74 on September 23.
