A recent report provides suggestions to reduce the frequent breakdowns of the Mon Incline.
According to a consulting firm, the issues largely stem from poor communication between Pittsburgh Regional Transit and the companies handling electrical, design, engineering, and inspections. The report also highlights the need for additional training for workers as the incline moves to an electrical system.
The incline transports over half a million passengers a year between the upper terminal at Grandview Ave. and the lower, at Carson Street.
