County health officials have issued a consumer alert for a Chinese restaurant in Squirrel Hill.
Allegheny County Health Department Inspectors found 15 violations at Jian’s Kitchen in the 58000 block of Forbes Avenue.
Three of the violations are considered high risk. Fresh rodent droppings in multiple locations of the restaurant and dead cockroaches, food being held at unsafe temperatures and a dirty slicer blade.
Other violations included a “foul-smelling, yellow grease and water” found near the grease trap, a hand sink in the kitchen was blocked by a shopping bag of food and more.
A re-inspection is scheduled for next Monday, February 17.
