UPDATE: This Consumer Alert was lifted on May 14.

A restaurant in Pittsburgh has been hit with a Consumer Alert after live mice and other issues were observed during an inspection.

The Allegheny County Health Department says The Bagel Factory on Forbes Avenue in Squirrel Hill was inspected on May 10.

An inspection shows that rodent droppings were found in various places, including on food contact surfaces. That is a repeat violation.

And, live mice were found on a glue trap in the bakery and nesting material was found behind an ice machine and a display case. Those are all considered high risk violations.

A medium risk violation was also observed, with some food items being temped above the required 41 degrees or lower temperatures.

In total, 12 violations were reported.

Any updated to the Consumer Alert will be updated on the Allegheny County Health Department’s website.

A re-inspection is scheduled for May 20.
