The Allegheny County Health Department has issued a consumer alert for a Homewood restaurant.
On October 15, Hook, Fish & Chicken on 5th Avenue was cited for the following violations:
Inadequate hot holding, improper thawing of foods, lack of a food probe thermometer, inadequate personal hygiene causing cross-contamination, lack of cleaning and sanitization of food contact surfaces, inoperable hand sink, inadequate pest management, unlabeled toxic items, and lack of a certified food protection manager.
