Firefighters battled a fire Thursday morning in Turtle Creek. The fire was reported just before 4 a.m. at a duplex along Oak Avenue Extension.
There were no injuries reported.
Another fire destroyed a home Wednesday night in Westmoreland County.
The fire began just after 11 p.m. at a home on Orchard Street in Sewickley Township.
There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
And, the community is coming together to help residents who lost nearly everything in a fire on Monday at the Cambridge Square apartments in Monroeville.
Members of the Gateway School District were at the Pitcairn Borough Building this afternoon, 609 Broadway Boulevard, accepting donations for the victims of the apartment fire.
Donations are being taken for grocery and gas gift cards, new socks, clothing of all sizes and for both males and females, toiletries and hygiene products and non-perishable food items.
