The PA Attorney General and the Pittsburgh FBI made five arrests, seized over a half a dozen firearms, tens of thousands of dollars in drug proceeds and copious quantities of cocaine and fentanyl in a New Castle drug bust.
Law enforcement coordinated a tactical operation Friday morning taking down a Lawrence County drug trafficking organization.
The investigation exposed individuals traveling to Michigan and other states to obtain large quantities cocaine of fentanyl.
FBI Pittsburgh has identified three of the arrested individuals as Dion Mercer, Latina Lindsey and Evans Lindsey
Seized items include:
More than 650 grams of cocaine
Approximately 28 grams of fentanyl
Over $23,000 in cash
7 firearms
“Today, the FBI and our partners send a clear message to traffickers and criminal organizations: your poison has no place here. We will find you, investigate you, and cut you out of our communities,” said FBI Pittsburgh Special Agent in Charge Richard Evanchec. “Communities across Lawrence County are safer today because of this decisive, coordinated law enforcement action.”
“This case illustrates the lengths drug traffickers go to make a profit — it also shows the commitment law enforcement makes to taking those dealers, and their poisonous products, off the street,” Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday said. “I thank and applaud our partners for an investigation that will have real impact in this western Pennsylvania region.”
