DUI checkpoints being set for Halloween weekend

Halloween is one of the most popular drinking holidays of the year and law enforcement is attempting to make sure people are responsible on the roads.

Multiple check points are scheduled for the upcoming holiday across the Pittsburgh area.


The West Hills DUI Task Force will be conducting check points Halloween weekend (October 28-30).

The following departments are participating in the check points:

Avalon
Bellevue
Carnegie
Coraopolis
Crafton
Crescent Township
Edgewood
Findlay
Ohio Township
Robinson Township
Sewickley

The PA DUI Association in partnership with the Sewickley Police, Moon Township Police & Allegheny County Pretrial Services Alcohol Highway Safety Program will be conducting sobriety enforcement October 14 through October 31.

The sobriety checks will take place in the former of Sobriety Checkpoints and/or Roving DUI Patrols.
