Monday is inauguration day for Mayor-Elect, Ed Gainey.

Just after 1pm, Gainey will officially become Pittsburgh's 61st Mayor, and first Mayor of color when he's sworn into office in a virtual ceremony.
Gainey's inauguration was moved into a virtual setting last week when the Mayor-Elect received a false-positive COVID-19 test.

The ceremony will be aired live on the City of Pittsburgh's YouTube channel, Facebook and Twitter platforms, and can also be seen on TV via Comcast channels 13 and 14. Verizon will air the broadcast on channels 44 and 45.

On Sunday, Gainey took part in a virtual interfaith prayer for Pittsburgh's future. Pittsburgh City Council will also swear in four council members in a ceremony late Monday morning.
