State Representative Ed Gainey told a crowd of supporters he wants to see Pittsburgh become One City for all.
That was the focus of his acceptance speech on Tuesday when he was declared the winner of the Mayoral race in Pittsburgh.
He thanked challenger Tony Moreno, and then announced it was time to get to work.  Thursday in his first interview since the election he told KDKA-Radio's Lynne Hayes-Freeland he appreciates the historic significance of his election as the city's first Black Mayor, but he wants to be judged by the work that he accomplishes once in office.
