PITTSBURGH (Newsradio KDKA) - Energy prices are rising due to a combination of factors. Similar to the dynamic with other products, there was a lot of pent-up demand coming out of the pandemic and now supply is having a hard time keeping up.
Duquesne Light will go up 7.7%, West Penn Power will rise 4.6% and Penn Power will see less than a 1% increase.
Customers can cope with increasing energy costs by conserving energy and looking for better deals in the competitive retail markets.
