Federal investigators in Pittsburgh helped shut down several Russian-linked online scams affecting more than a million people.

Two of the victims are Pittsburgh-area residents.

One of them lost almost $1,000 in the online scam.

The feds seized four web domains being used to steal personal information.

That led to the shutdown of a platform the criminals used to create phony websites for businesses like Amazon and Netflix.

Unwitting victims were tricked into disclosing personal information and the scammers used it to make unauthorized transactions.
