A day after a ceremonial ribbon cutting, the new Fern Hollow Bridge has opened to traffic.

PennDOT says the bridge reopened to single-lane traffic in both directions at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
It has been 329 days since that bridge came crashing down during the morning commute, with vehicles still on it.
In addition, the south part of the bridge is open to bicycles and pedestrians.
The reopening was scheduled for Friday, but with a winter storm approaching, it was opened a day earlier than planned.
“Wingwall work, a bridge deck overlay, park restoration, and miscellaneous construction activities will continue on the project through the spring of 2023,” PennDOT said in a release. “Additional closures are anticipated to complete the deck overlay work. Details will be provided in advance of any major restrictions.”
