The Allegheny County Fire Marshall's office is investigating the cause of a house fire that killed an elderly man in Homestead over the weekend.
The fire started before noon Saturday in the 100 block of West 12th Avenue.
According to police, 79-year-old Ronald Jenkins was trapped on the second floor when first responders arrived on the scene.
Firefighters were able to get Jenkins out of the house and he was taken to a hospital, but later died.
