
A Pittsburgh Firefighter was hospitalized after a late-night blaze broke out in Elliot.
Crews responded to a 3-alarm fire at a house on the 900 block of Gibson Street just after 9:30 Tuesday night.
The house was empty at the time of the fire and the roof collapsed as crews fought the flames.
Two people were displaced after a nearby house was damaged by the fire. The Red Cross is assisting them.
The firefighter injured was taken to the hospital in stable condition. He was feeling ill as a result of the high temperatures.
The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
