PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) — In the early hours of Wednesday, around 2:30 a.m., the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire responded to a structure fire in the 3000 block of Vensel Way.
Firefighters arrived at the scene with the three-story building consumed by flames.
All apartment residents were able to evacuate the building safely, however.
Once firefighters responded, the fire was quickly extinguished.
The only injury that was sustained was a minor ankle ailment to one of the firefighters.
He was transported to the hospital by medics, though.
Zone 1 officers were also present at the incident.
The Fire Investigation Unit is currently looking into what started the fire.
