Former Steelers wide receiver Louis Lipps was arrested on Mount Washington Saturday night after crashing into a trailer in front of a home on Ruth Street.
Just before 11 p.m. police were notified of the crash. When they arrived they found Lipps and his wife inside his truck that crashed into the trailer.
According to a criminal complaint Lipps eyes were bloodshot and watery. He was unaware of what was going on. He told police his truck was off when it was still running. He also said he was going to fail when he was requested a field sobriety test because his blood alcohol level was .235%.
The Steelers plan to induct Lipps into the Hall Of Honor next weekend before the team takes on the Detroit Lions at Heinz Field.
The Steelers have not made any comments at this time.
