In an effort to bring back some activity and vibrancy to the Central Business District of downtown Pittsburgh, the city has partially closing Fort Duquesne Boulevard from Stanwix Street to 7th Street.
This will allow the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership to host various events and activities.
The partial closure was put into affect on Tuesday, May 11th and will be in place for approximately the next five months.
The Westbound detour will take traffic from 7th street to Penn Avenue to Stanwix Street.
The city is hopeful that this will present only a minor inconvenience. Keep an eye out for the schedule of events and activities.
It will be closed until October 7.
