You know I love it when we discover local folks who are making a difference. That's why I headed out to visit Louie Gunde at his home with my son Vince and my producer Patrick.
Watch the video on this page to see me and Vince learning more about the bike drive Louie is organizing with his business, 412 Dumpsters.
For this fantastic family, giving back is truly a family event. Even the smallest family members were getting in on the action putting bikes together for the giveaway.
Louie's goal is to giveaway at least one-hundred bicycles at the event on Sunday, June 25th in Lawrenceville at the park at 4600 Butler Street. That's right next to the Boys and Girls Club.
While they already have several dozen bikes ready to go, they could always use more and definitely need safety equipment for kids, like helmets. If you want to help out, just give them a call or text 412-430-2969.
Sounds like it's already going to be a huge success, and anyone can show up for a free bicycle for their children.
