Bob Bastone owns Bastone Auto Service on Carron Street in Pittsburgh's Shadyside neighborhood. Just walking down the street or sidewalk in front of Bob's shop and the row houses along the street is dangerous right now.
In the video on this page you can see just how bad it is.
Bob says it's been this way every time the temperatures drop for nearly three years and nothing has been done about it.

It's not for a lack of knowledge about it. Bob tells me he and other neighbors have reported the problems again and again, but still water keeps flowing and freezing along the street.
Just a few days ago it was so thick a BMW was trapped, its tires buried in ice several inches thick.

Bob Bastone joined me on the radio to talk about the problem.
My friend Colin Dunlap from 93.7 The FAN Morning Show was so incensed by the City of Pittsburgh's lack of action he called in to my radio show and pointed out the irony of a city project just a few blocks away to build an indoor ice rink.
So what's the deal? Why hasn't the problem been addressed? And what will it take to get it done? That's what I'm working to find out now.
