The idea started with one of her small children who nearly choked on a piece of fruit. That is when Heidi first discovered the LifeVac choking rescue device. It's a relatively simple tool that reminds you of those fancy toilet plungers attached to a CPR mask and it works.
Around the same time a local pastor choked and died while eating at a steakhouse, Heidi ramped up her mission to put these devices in all of the schools in her community.

After partnering with the Butler Area School District, the goal became much clearer. She is teaming up with the GFSC Junior Women's Club of Butler to raise money to put LifeVac kits in 13 achools. They need about $2,500 to reach their goal and they're kicking off the fundraiser with a hoagie sale.
You also don't have to order a sandwich, you can simply make a donation. Check out the link above and let's help them reach their goal!
