Gisele Fetterman was with her husband, Senator John Fetterman, when the White House Correspondents Dinner was disrupted by gunfire on Saturday.

The couple was seated one table removed from the stage.

Gisele tells Marty Griffin on KDKA Radio she never heard the gunshot, all she witnessed was the chaos:

“At first I thought it was maybe a skit,” said Fetterman. “Imagine bringing food to 2,500 people, large trays over their shoulders and that’s when it all happened so, all that went flying, went to the floor and then the Secret Service came in with guns, everybody got down, everybody got under the tables and then I saw the Vice President be removed, and I realized this was something very serious that was happening.”

The Fettermans were safely evacuated from the facility and are now safe and back home. No injuries were reported.

Alleged shooter Cole Allen was charged with attempting to assassinate President Trump in Saturday’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting.
